The program's intent is to provide a structured youth support space that strengthens both self-care and safe help-giving, especially for youths who may already be supporting friends but need more guidance, boundaries, and practical tools. We believe this may support your current concerns and needs.

The proposed structure is as follows:

Month 1 – Day 1 (4 hours): listening well, emotional presence, and role-play practice
Month 1 – Day 2 (4 hours): boundaries, self-care, and avoiding burnout while supporting others
Month 2 onwards: monthly 2-hour gatherings focused on helping others, with topics selected from a curated menu based on participant relevance and group preference

For the monthly sessions from Month 2 onwards, the intended format is:

1 hour large-group lecture
1 hour fixed breakout groups for sharing, role-play, discussion, and peer learning

A few practical points for the model:

Participants would need to complete Month 1 before joining Month 2 to Month 12
For Month 2 to Month 12, the working plan is 25 pax per session per month, with 2 sessions of the same content each month for participants to choose from
Participants are not obligated to attend all subsequent sessions, even after completing Month 1

Do note that the session on 20 and 22 October is compulsary to be able to attend other sessions from November.
